Linda & Elwood Ellenes Testimonial for MW Bowen Excavation Inc,
On September 13, 2007 Mike demoed our house to make way for a bigger new house. To some people this is what would be expected when having a house demolished but to us having our house torn down was a very big deal. When my husband purchased the house 35 years ago Elwood and his father (now deceased) renovated the house over a period of 3 years. Elwood had emotional ties to this house that was now being demolished and Mike was sensitive to Elwood watching. As Mike started up the equipment he asked Elwood and I were we ready. In twenty minutes the house was nothing but a pile of rubble. As we watched Mike take down the house we were amazed how he was using the arm of the machine like it was his hand. At the end he had a very neat pile of rubble in the foundation of the house with little outside the block. We left the site for a while and when returning Mike called to Elwood and said he found something he thought Elwood might want to keep. In all that rubble Mike had found two pieces of cement one with Elwood’s name and date the other with his fathers name and date from the time when they renovated the house 35 years earlier. Mike told Elwood you should set the blocks aside and incorporated them in the new house. When Mike was finished with the demolition Elwood and I walked around the site that once sat our little house and commented what a great job Mike did cleaning up all that debris and how special it was when Mike found the two pieces of block in all that mess and think to set them aside. Now here sits graded lot ready for our new house and no evidence of the old house. Mike you did a great job. It was a pleasure working with you on this project. I have attached some pictures I took.
